Flocus is designed to be used in-browser on desktop or tablet and should not be embedded as a Notion widget.

Because Notion isn’t a browser and can’t remember external site settings, your progress or data may not update properly, and certain features may not work as expected.

If you’d like to use Flocus outside of your main browser window while working with other apps (like Notion!), try these alternatives:

1. Picture-in-Picture Mode

Flocus has a picture-in-picture mode on Chrome and Edge.

To enable this, go to Focus Mode and select the picture-in-picture icon to the right of the timer controls. This allows you to run the timer in a small floating window while you work in other tabs or apps, perfect for staying focused while using Notion or other tools. Think of it as a movable, always-on widget!

If you’re a Flocus Plus member, you’ll be able to see your current task in the picture-in-picture window.

2. Side-by-Side Narrow Window

You can keep Flocus running in a narrow window on the side of your screen while working in other apps, including Notion. This lets manage your tasks and timers without having to constantly switch tabs.

3. Save Flocus as a Desktop Web App

Lastly, you can install Flocus as a desktop web app using Chrome or Safari. This setup gives you an app-like experience on your computer. For detailed steps on how to set this up, check out our guide.
