If your timer is freezing, stopping, or restarting unexpectedly, try these steps to improve performance:

Disable Animated Themes

Go to Settings → Extras and toggle off animated themes. This can reduce strain on your browser.

Close Intensive Background Activities

Check if other activities, such as gaming, streaming videos, or running multiple heavy apps, are slowing down your system. If possible, quit these apps and tabs.

Update Your Browser

Make sure your browser is up to date and that you’re using a supported browser. Flocus works best in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.

Disable Browser Extensions

Try disabling extensions to see if it resolves the issue:

  1. Go to your browser’s Extensions or Add-ons menu.

  2. Toggle off or remove any unnecessary extensions.

  3. Refresh Flocus, run your timer, and see if the issue is resolved.

Restart Your Browser or Computer

Restarting can resolve temporary issues and free up memory for smoother performance.

Disable Memory Saver in Your Browser

Some browsers have memory-saving features that may affect Flocus performance. Here’s how to adjust these settings to prevent timer interruptions:

Chrome

  1. Go to Menu → Settings → Performance.

  2. Under Memory Saver, click Add next to Always keep these sites active.

  3. Enter app.flocus.com and save.

Edge

  1. Go to Menu → Settings → System and Performance.

  2. Under Efficiency Mode, click Add next to Always keep these sites active when efficiency mode is on.

  3. Enter app.flocus.com and save.
